The Mtukudzi Music Legacy continues to live on as Selmor Mtukudzi drops her 11 track 6th Studio Album, Dehwe ReNzou. The Album title conveys a message that, no matter how you plan to crook other people in life, one way or the other, it will get back to you. Even the Bible says, treat people the way you like to be treated. It makes no sense to be greedy, whilst, others starve. This is mainly scored with, ‘Uchafinhwa’, which is one of the tracks to look up to.

It’s blended with an African Contemporary Afro Jazz feel conveying a lot of message to the World. Earlier she released a screenshot of her last conversation with her late Father, the Legendary Oliver Mtukudzi, in need of her vocals on one of his songs. She went on to dedicate one song for him called, ‘Mandidzimbira’, pouring her emotions towards her loss. It is was released as a pre single of the Album with colorful Visuals. It was produced by Steve Dyer at Dyertribe studios in South Africa except a single house track which was done by McDee.

Dyer is renowned for producing Oliver Mtudzi’s platinum album ‘Tuku Music’. He also produced ‘Bvuma’ and ‘Paivepo’, albums which totally changed Mtukudzi’s music fortunes. On the other hand McDee is credited for producing Selmor’s popular house tracks like ‘Hangasa’ and ‘Nguva Yangu.’

Veteran Black Spirits members Picky Kasamba, Never Mpofu and Sam Mataure also featured on the album.
Kasamba did the backing vocals and percussion whilst Mpofu and Mataure played bass and drums respectively.
Legendary South African musician Vusi Mahlasela popularly known as ‘The Voice’ also features on one of the tracks.
