Phreshy To Drop Lead Single From Camo EP

Award winning ZimHipHop Femcee looks forward to serve lead single, Tweet or Call, from her debut album set to drop this year.

Phreshy (real name Precious Herschneider Frank) is set to drop her third and prerelease single from her forthcoming. Ndipe is a last release to date. Tweet or Call was produced by Vic Enlisted. The song is inspired by Phreshy’s day to day experiences. The trials and tribulations she goes through but, at the end of the day you cannot please everyone.

“I am surrounded by people who genuinely support me, others who don’t and some who pretend to. Well, this is common to everyone. I do not really like drama but, once in a while people need to be reminded that they are not entitled to how you live your life and how you do things. Yes, critics got me where l am today but, when it comes to me, my music, my hustle make a choice. Hate it or love it, say it to my face, TWEET or CALL…” said Phreshy

Phreshy promises to announce the name of the album later on but not today, along with release dates. Back in 2019, Phreshy released an EP called Muzambangwena. Which won the Best Album of The Year at ZimHipHop Awards. It took a couple months to make but, it’s almost done.

“it took me a couple of months like l said it’s off my album. The recording process was kinda hectic because l recorded here in SA and sent files to Vic for mixing and mastering. He did not feel the quality and delivery so had to re record (laughs). It was frustrating but l realized my work has to be on point…” Phreshy added.

Phreshy and Vic Enlisted have been working together for a while. Vic is the one behind Phreshy’s first EP, recorded and mixed most of the tracks. With that in common, probably Vic is on the forefront.

Tweet or Call is a Hip Hop record with a carribean vibe. The single carries a mixed feeling for one will take it as a diss track and some might take it as a club banger. Despite the rythms and sound, the single aims to empower girls and women to stay strong and focused.

“…a whole different mood but my target market is all Queens. Especially in the industry we go through a lot but we need to stick to our goals regardless of what people say…” Phreshy noted.

On ZimHipHop’s progress, Phreshy is happy with how the genre is growing and it’s influence. The cross over hit song, Fire Emoji, has introduced a new sound to a mainstream audience as she noted,

“ZimHipHop is taking over, was surprised to see random people bumping to the track. I am glad it is now reaching diversified audience…” Phreshy

Phreshy’s debut album is almost done. Now going through the final touches. To get all the updates on the release dates and new music, please, follow Phreshy on Facebook @phreshy, and @phreshyzw on Instagram and Twitter.
